Melissa Dominguez

Melissa Dominguez (Ciudad Juárez), also known as Domino, is a multidisciplinary surrealist artist based in Los Angeles. Her work explores personal themes and borderland experiences through an improvisational, subconscious style. In addition to her visual art, she works in tattooing and fashion design, with a background in fashion school. Over the years, she has also become known for her design work in the music scene, creating flyers, posters, album covers, and merch for rock bands.
In 2017, she launched Funhouse, a slow-fashion label built on a raw, DIY punk ethos—every garment is hand-drawn, one-of-a-kind, and hand-painted. Funhouse’s most notable collaboration to date is a custom-designed dress worn by Latin American TikTok influencer María B. Bottle at the 2024 TikTok Awards (Fashion category).
In 2025, Domino presented a solo retrospective at the Museum of History and Archaeology in Ciudad Juárez, showcasing over 80 works spanning from 2008 to 2025.
