Blue Denim Blue World Blue Peril: A solo show of large-scale work by Esteban Michel
OPENING RECEPTION: SATURDAY, APRIL 4, 7PM – 10PM
Quilted from discarded denim, underwater scenes depicting ocean life are both ambitious in size y vibrantes. While you are mesmerized by the hues of the blue fabric, the message is sent: a greater cost is extracted. The chemicals used to create blue jeans are poisoning our oceans and wasting our precious water.
